Le Chéile Cois Life

Le Chéile Cois Life will bring together an impressive array of Dublin’s traditional singers and musicians for a journey along the banks of Abha na Life – to trace the social history of the city from the earlier Gaelic period to the present, more culturally diverse times, through music, song and poetry.

Our guide on this musical journey, will be Des Geraghty of the Clé Club, supported by master uilleann piper, Mick O’Brien, renowned fiddler and composer, Máire Breatnach and traditional music trio, the Dublin Lasses, along with an impressive line-up of singers including Jerry O’Reilly, Antaine Ó Faracháin, Noel O’Grady and Seán Ó hEarcáin.

The event takes place in the Liberty Hall Theatre on Wednesday, March 15, at 7.30pm, and is the perfect prelude to this year’s Saint Patrick’s Festival – showcasing the creative energy and spirit of our Gaelic culture, that has not only influenced many of our acclaimed English language poets and writers, but has also underpinned our musical traditions, which are now recognised worldwide.

Although, the emphasis will be mainly on the Irish language, if you don’t have the ‘cúpla focal’, don’t let that put you off – you’ll still enjoy it – and you can spread the word – in any language!

Tickets cost just €15 and are available online from www.gr8events.ie/sales/index.php?event=1234
