The wonderful voice of Amelia Hogan from California will be heard on this side of the Atlantic when she visits Ireland to play at the Clé Club in Dublin.
Acclaimed for her sensitive interpretation of traditional narrative ballads from Ireland, Britain and North America, Amelia sings mostly in English but also some sean nós as Gaeilge – both unaccompanied and with accompaniment from her shruti box or small Welsh lap harp. She has also collaborated with a number of other traditional artists including Niamh Parsons, Julie Henigan and Shay Black.
