Roisín is an outstanding exponent of sean-nós singing and a wonderful fiddle player from South Co. Dublin, Róisín is steeped in the rich traditions of Irish language, music, and song from an early age. Her unique style, rooted in the Connemara lineage of singing, has been shaped by the influence of the late Séamus MacMathúna and his wife Úna, who inspired her to create her own interpretations of classic Irish songs.
Róisín’s talent has taken her around the world, performing as a soloist and as the lead singer with the acclaimed traditional music group, The Bonny Men. She has collaborated with renowned artists like Liam Ó Maonlaí, Bríghde Chaimbeul, Aidan O’Rourke, Steve Cooney, and Martin Hayes, bringing her distinctive voice to a wide range of musical projects. Her performances have graced national radio and television, and in 2020, she was featured on the soundtrack of Ruán Magan’s powerful documentary, ‘The Hunger.’
Now based in Belfast, Róisín continues to inspire and teach the art of sean-nós singing, while further developing her own extraordinary style. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience Róisín Chambers’ captivating performance live—it’s sure to be a night filled with the soulful melodies and rich heritage of Irish traditional music!
