“Come by the hills…to a land where life is a song…”

Saturday, July 27. 11am-11pm

You are invited to a one-day musical visit to the Wicklow mountains for a walk, a song and a tune with the Clé Club and the Bray Singers’ Circle. Weather permitting, we hope to visit the Kilmacurragh Botanic Gardens and enjoy a leisurely stroll in the Avondale Forest Park, the former home of Parnell (both close to Rathdrum). Later we will meet friends from the North Wexford Traditional Singing Circle for an evening session at 6.30 pm in the Court House Arts Centre, Tinahely.

We look forward to sharing many songs, stories and tunes with particular local relevance on the journey. Those with ‘a serious walking habit’ can also be facilitated during the day.

A bus will collect participants at Liberty Hall at 11 am, at Blackrock Church about 11.20, White’s Cross about 11.30, and the Town Hall, Bray about 11.50. We hope to deliver everyone back to Liberty Hall before 11 pm, dropping people in Bray, at White’s Cross, and at Blackrock Church on the way.

The subscription for the bus trip and evening session is €10 per person. People who don’t wish to use the coach are welcome to meet up with us during the afternoon, or in Tinahely at 6.30 pm for the evening session. The local Arts Group will set up a temporary bar with beer and wine but we understand that pints can be sourced from a local pub adjoining the venue.

As places on the coach are limited to 50 persons, please book your place early by contacting:
