Given the current state of the world, it’s not always easy to sing a happy song. But as we pack up our bags for the summer we’ve decided to hold an evening dedicated to the humorous, the satirical and the absurd.
From Zozimus and Behan to Christy Moore and Jimmy Crowley there’s a rich store of songs and poems which use comedy and satire to amuse and provoke.
Fear a’tí, Seamus Dooley, will give a warm welcome to singers, musicians, poets and. listeners at the Clé Club’s in-person session at the Teachers’ Club on June 17.
Doors open from 7pm. Admission €5.
